Starting Over In Love: Words Of Wisdom From an Experienced Proverbs Wife

Are You Not Married Yet?  No worries……Hold Your Course

By:  Minister Fredricia Cunegin

On June 14, of 2011, I celebrated 25 years of marriage with my husband and best friend,  Irvin.  We often talk about the love synergy between us that is more enhanced today than when our journey began.  Would you believe that the genesis of our story began with a list?  That’s right, as a single mother I gave God a list of expectations and desires I wanted in a husband.  Psalms 84:11, reads, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”  As a Blood bought daughter of the Most High God”   I understood that I had a right to be cherished by a man who would not only love me, but would love and embrace my nine year old daughter.  As Proverbs 31 women — single or married — it is essential to the success of any relationship to understand the power of our charisma, influence, words, and dreams.  God the Father created you with the intent to fulfill your dreams, goals, and aspirations for His Glory; an effective way of seeing the undeniable favor of God on your behalf is to delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4).  If you are an individual who is single, widowed, divorced or considering a blended family bond, simply present your desires to the Father, trust Him, lean not to your own understanding, and rest assured that He WILL give you the desires of your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).  You must know that your tongue is the “pen of a ready writer” (Psalms 45:1).  Make sure that your words and heart are in line with the Word of God.  Write your goals…and hold your course.

With Grace,

Fredricia Cunegin
